Alas, the time has come. With Australia opening its borders just in time for 2022’s July intake, all you who have been eager to begin your studies in the land down under can finally do so! Below is information regarding Covid-19 precautions and support that you should know before embarking on your journey to Australia.
Covid-19 Vaccination
Covid-19 vaccines are free for EVERYBODY in Australia, including international students! Booster shots are also available to those 18 and above and have had both vaccine shots. The following places offer Covid-19 vaccines: Commonwealth vaccination clinics, participating general practices, Aboriginal Controlled Community Health Services, state and territory vaccination clinics and participating pharmacies. Health and Wellbeing Support
Any costs of medical and hospital care while you are in Australia will be met by your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Contact your OSHC provider to discover additional information regarding health services covered by your policy and how to access them. These health services also include counselling and other mental health support.

Assistance with Enrolment
If you are concerned that your enrolment, fees or other issues related to your studies may be affected by the Covid-19 situation, feel free to contact your education provider for support. Utilize the “live chat” on their website or make a call to their student support team. Many Australian institutions offer a range of counselling and advice services to guide you through the application and travel process.
Follow campus Covid safety precautions
Once you’re in Australia, be sure to find out and adhere to the Covid precautions that your institution has implemented on campus. Some common examples of these precautions include: having proof that you are fully-vaccinated, wearing a mask at all times, maintaining physical distancing, washing your hands regularly, staying home if you are sick etc.
