Cardiff Sixth Form College

Cardiff Sixth Form College has been ranked the top independent school in the UK over the past twelve years with 97.8% of students achieving A*-A grades and 199.7% A*-B in 2021. 90.84% of students have gained places at QS top 100 universities worldwide and 36 students have gone on to study medicine.

Teaching staff are all highly experienced with many having been examiners or inspectors in other schools.  Highly rated by the pupils, staff offer one to one support, tutorials and academic enrichment on top of their extensive teaching programme.

A designated careers team at the College provides UCAS support, entrance to US and other international universities, tutoring for university admissions tests, help with personal statement writing and interview practice.

Cardiff Sixth Form College also offers a wide range of super curricular and careers-based activities.  Students take part in volunteering and both UK and international work experience programmes.  They join careers-societies, are given practice in critical thinking, enter awards and develop skills in communication, leadership and entrepreneurship.  There are many field-trips on offer and students are encouraged to undertake research projects, attend Ted Talks and undertake independent research projects.

Our extra-curricular programme gives opportunities for students to enjoy sport, music, art and drama as well as a large range of clubs such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, debating and the NASA Space Settlement Design Competition. There are over 40 different nationalities at Cardiff who live in state-of-the-art boarding accommodation comprising single en-suite bedrooms and studio apartments with common rooms, kitchens, music practice rooms and art rooms.  Located in the lively capital city of Cardiff, Cardiff Sixth Form College is certainly the place to be.
