University of Otago Foundation Year

Founded in 1869, University of Otago is New Zealand’s first university. In years since, the university has prided themselves on being a research-led university with an international reputation for excellence. It is ranked 184 in the 2020/21 QS World University Rankings and in the top 100 in 15 subject areas. University of Otago has also first received a Five Stars Plus QS Stars University rating in 2016.

Programmes are majorly run in the Dunedin campus, but the University also has Schools of Medicine and Health Sciences in Wellington and Christchurch which is home to many leading medical researchers.

The University of Otago offers a broad-spectrum of graduate-level, Ph.D. and postgraduate-level programmes in several fields of education like finance, economics, entrepreneurship, business, management, marketing, medicine, pharmacy, law, arts, social sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computer science.
