Running for a Cause: JM Education Penang at the H.U.G.S Charity Fun Run
On November 10th, 2024, the H.U.G.S Charity Fun Run brought together over 2,000 participants at the scenic Gurney Paragon, Penang, to support a cause close to many hearts. Organized by Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital, the event aimed to raise RM200,000 for the Cancer Welfare Fund, which provides financial aid to underprivileged cancer patients.
The acronym H.U.G.S stands for Hope, Understanding, and Group Support—a message of solidarity and compassion that resonated deeply with everyone present, including the enthusiastic team from JM Education Penang.
A Morning of Purpose and Community
The JM Education Penang team, comprising 20 participants from staff, family, and friends, proudly joined this 5 KM fun run. The event was not just about fitness—it was a testament to the power of community in coming together for a meaningful cause.
The atmosphere was electric, with participants of all ages and backgrounds uniting under the common goal of making a difference. From the starting whistle to the finish line, the event radiated positivity and camaraderie. Our team completed the run in under two hours, enjoying every moment along the way.
Adding an extra layer of excitement, six members of our team won lucky draw prizes, making the day even more memorable for JM Education Penang.
