Introduction

My name is Li Ann. I’m 20 years old and I’m currently in my 3^rd year of a Bachelor’s in Arts and Advanced Studies at the University of Sydney.

How has your university experience been so far?

It has been a very enriching experience living in a completely different environment. It has definitely strengthened my abilities to live independently.

What is your favourite thing about living in Sydney?

It would have to be the number of beaches here. Any beach you pass by here in Sydney is really clean, beautiful and I can take really nice pictures there.

What are your honest thoughts on the University of Sydney?

It’s a really good university because there are a lot of good facilities here. Doesn’t matter which department you’re studying in or which subject you are taking, the lecturers are really good and the people here are very friendly.

Why did you choose to study abroad starting right from your Pre-U?

A few years prior to studying here, I came to Sydney for holidays and afterwards, I made up my mind that I wanted to further my studies here. Australia is a very beautiful country and there are a lot of friendly people here.

Was travelling abroad harder considering you were still underage?

Not really, I travelled alone when I first came to Sydney, but JM helped me settle everything including arranging airport pick-up and my accommodation, so that made things much easier.

Would you recommend for others to pursue their Pre-U overseas?

Yeah definitely! Doing your pre-u overseas makes transitioning into university much easier as you’ve already gotten used to living there and established your own circle of friends.

How did JM help you throughout the application process?

They pretty much did everything for me. All I had to do was provide them with the required documents. All the complicated processes, such as applying for Visa, was done by them. If it’s your first time studying abroad and you don’t know what to do, then JM is your best option.
