Louisiana State University
Louisiana State University (LSU) officially known as Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College is a public research university in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The university opened in 1860 and is one of the premier Research Universities in the South.
LSU is the state’s flagship university and has more than 100 student organizations, 194 undergraduate and graduate/professional degrees. LSU is ranked #153 and in top tier for “Best National Universities” for the 11th-straight year and is the only public university in Louisiana ranked in the top tier by U.S. News & World Report.
