Navitas University of Massachusetts Boston

UMass Boston Navitas Global Student Success Program, often referred to as Navitas or GSSP, is a first year experience program which has been designed to speak to the needs of international students who are coming to pursue degrees at an UMass Boston from non-English speaking countries with various levels of academic skills and various levels of English language proficiency.

The undergraduate GSSP is the first year of a credit-conferring, bachelor’s degree program at UMass Boston, but with additional academic and student support services designed to ensure success. Students enjoy small class sizes, additional instruction time, and a high degree of interaction with deeply committed faculty, while forging strong relationships within the campus community. Through the expertise, resources, and programming that we provide at Navitas GSSP, students receive comprehensive preparation for successful academic and professional careers.
