University of Central Florida
Founded in 1963, formerly named as Florida Technological University. The University of Central Florida (UFC) is a public research university in unicorporated Orange County, Florida.
The university offers more than 200 degrees through 13 colleges at 10 regional campuses in Central Florida, including an accredited College of Medicine in the Medical City at Lake Nona, the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in south Orlando and the UCF Center for Emerging Media in downtown Orlando. UCF is an academic, partnership and research leader in numerous fields, such as optics and lasers, modeling and simulation, engineering and computer science, business, public administration, education, hospitality management, healthcare and video game design.
